PowerFLARM Flex - the portable solution

The basic version of the device comes with a powerful FLARM transmitter and receiver, transponder receiver, WiFi and Bluetooth. Interesting for glider pilots: IGC and ENL are already included in the full version. The warning is displayed in the proven LED circle, the situation awareness in the small graphic screen. The PowerFLARM Flex has a battery compartment for standard lithium-polymer rechargeable batteries and will therefore run for at least one (1) day of flight. It is charged directly on the device using a USB charger and USB-C charging cable.

The PowerFLARM Flex user interface makes configuration simple and clear. The interface runs directly on the device, does not require an internet connection and is compatible with any smartphone, tablet or computer/Mac. This allows firmware, obstacle database updates and activations to be carried out and IGC files to be saved directly on the computer or mobile device. PowerFLARM Flex offers a wide range of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity options and can be paired with popular navigation systems such as Air Navigation Pro, SkyDemon, ForeFlight, EasyVFR, iPilot and XC Soar. In addition to the FLARM data protocol (ICD), the GDL 90 protocol is supported, which is used by many apps as standard.

Air traffic display - a color display based on a radar display shows all received aircraft (including ADS-B traffic).

Connectivity - many navigation apps (e.g. Oudi, XC-Soar, Air Navigation Pro, SkyDemon, ForeFlight, EasyVFR, iPilot and others) can be connected directly via the integrated wireless Bluetooth or Wi-Fi data connection, without the need for Bluetooth or Wi-Fi adapters. Depending on the connected application, data can be transmitted using the FLARM ICD or GDL 90 protocol.

Easy replacement - the design and dimensions of the device allow it to be mounted directly on the instrument panel, making it an ideal replacement for the classic FLARM devices mounted on many glider instrument panels, some of which are already 20 years old.
